The pieces are around the size of fat quarters, some bigger and some smaller. 
 
Contents vary and may include curtain and upholstery remnants, various plain and patterned polyesters, satins, poly cottons, occasionally wool fents, a mixture of different weights and textures, ideal for people who want to try to sew a variety of different fabrics.
 
Cheaper than buying half metres as they give a wider choice to play with! If you've recently bought a sewing machine and would like to try several different fabrics then these are ideal!
