This versatile cotton fabric has been popular for thousands of years! It was used in ancient Egypt for wrapping mummies and in more recent times as bandages for wounds and sprains.
It can be used for displays and curtains (as you can see above) or for general crafting purposes, it can also be made into light weight clothing and is popular for quilt making. We usually have a cream/ivory shade in stock. White is also available if you need ten metres or more...
It can be easily dyed into various colours if needed. You can see some beautiful orange table runners and displays for a wedding in the pictures above!
Customers travelling abroad have used it as mosquito netting. We sell a lot for making jams, cottage cheese and for straining all types of fruit for making alcoholic drinks.
As a loom state cotton fabric we would recommend washing before use for cleanliness, especially if for food usage and also to allow for any shrinkage.
The weave may vary in weight and texture from time to time depending on how and where it was produced, some weaves are thinner than others, however it always looks and feels nice.
Width is usually around 150cms/60 inches.
100% Cotton.
